Laurence has been playing guitar since he was 8 years old and in 2014 was voted the Young Artist of the Year in the British Blues Awards. He recorded his 2nd album “Temptation” at the famous Dockside Studio in Louisiana and in 2015 represents the UK in the European Blues Challenge in Brussels. Some of his influences are Rory Gallagher, Albert Collins, Gary Moore and Eric Clapton.
His debut album “Thunder in the Sky” was released to rave reviews in 2012 and 2 years later saw the release of “Temptation”, his first album for Ruf Records and produced by Mike Zito in Louisiana. A high level of touring has won him even more acclaim and in November 2014 he supported Kenny Wayne Shepherd in the UK and received standing ovations at each show.
On Sunday 22nd March, Laurence Jones went down a storm supporting King King and joining them on stage for a memorable jam at the end of the night.
